Vulturestorm didn't have much to say at her clan. It appeared that the clan turned her back on her, after she became pregnant with Greysky's kits. Even though she knew the father was quite ovious, Vulturestorm didn't tell anyone that it was his kits growing inside of her. She didn't want him to get looked down on, or get rejected. But, she always knew that she'd love him, no matter what. Vulturestorm yawned slight as she walked, hearing the water's beautiful music. She lay down under a rock overhang. Sometimes, when she'd lie here, Vulturestorm would just wish that the overhang would crumble, and crush her to her death.

Amber eyes watched the she-cat with such sadness it could send any cat into tears. The cat watching Vulturestorm had something strange about her. One for a fact she was glowing, there were stars in her fur, and every step she took seemed like she was floating. The tabby she-cat moved closer towards her, her dainty white paws making the journey shorter with every glide. The she-cat stopped and she said kindly with drops of sorrow, "You've done plenty wrong haven't you, old friend?" The she-cat quieted her voice and said, "Now who shall watch over the Clan and protect it from Greencough?" Now doubt she was disappointed in her old friend. She knew it wasn't her fault, Greysky had done nothing to stop it, but it was also Vulturestorm's fault. Acornheart's amber eyes had once held kindness for every cat, but now she felt anger. Acornheart long ago had found out that she had died for nothing, not for love, not for her Clan, but for her own stupidity. Emptychest never actually said he had loved her nor had he showed any interest in her after she had come back down to earth to be with him. Earning a place in StarClan took her so long to do after turning down their offer as soon as she had died. Acornheart had come to comfort her old friend, but what could she say? All new emotions seemed to cloud her brain. Acornheart looked at Vulturestorm and whispered, "ShadowClan's Medicine Cats, known for nothing but mistakes. I pretty much killed myself to join Emptychest, no thoughts of what would happen to ShadowClan. I only thought that they would still have you to care for them."

She jumped slightly at the sound of Acornheart's voice yet didn't turn her head to look at her. The she-cat meowed quietly. "I know what you must think, Acornheart." Vulturestorm looked down at her paws, feeling an emotion of shame wash over her. "I still wish to care for them.. but sometimes I just think they won't ever accept me again." Vulturestorm meowed, and slowly rose her head, daring the look at the cat from the stars. Her eyes showed all her emotions; shame, sadness, and fear.

Acornheart looked at the she-cat she had once felt jelousy towards. Acornheart's amber gaze met hers but suddenly every emotion disappeared from her own eyes. The starry she-cat sat herself down and said, "Vulturestorm this isn't your fault and ShadowClan will soon accept you again. It might take longer than anything you've ever expierienced but good things will happen. Acornheart licked her friend's head and said, "I'll still be watching over you, and your kits will no doubt have me gaurding them. I just wish that I could come back again and take over as Medicine Cat while you're caring for them." Acornheart was trying hard not to show worry about what was to come. StarClan was angry about this, but it was a little small problem compared to others. Acornheart rested her head on her paws as she layed herself down.

Vulturestorm tried to smile, but the tortishell she-cat just couldn't pull it off. She felt herself coming towards Acornheart, and soon she lay beside her, with a small sigh. "I just wish.. that I can show that I love. I feel that I should be able to have kits, just like all the other she-cats in the clan. I just don't understand.."

Acornheart licked her friend's ears and just listened to her. She wanted Vulturestorm to be happy, but she couldn't. Acornheart sighed and said, "It's just another one of those things that cannot be changed. She-cats always get the bad end of the deal, I mean look at all the male Medecine Cats and Leaders, they're allowed to father kits because they're not the ones having them, but us.....Everyone's scared that if we have kits we'll be a weakness to the clan." Acornheart's eyes looked at Vulturestorm carefully.

Vulturestorm sighed. Acornheart was right. "The warrior code.. it's so sexist!" she thought. She soon felt a little bit of anger pulse through her veins. Vulturestorm turned her head to look at the ghostly appearence of Acornheart. "Oh, Acornheart... why couldn't you still be here?" she meowed softly.

Acornheart licked her friends head before coming up with comforting words. Acornheart looked at her and meowed, "I know you'd have a much easier time if I was still alive. But things happened the way they happened. I knew I was going to die that night and there would've been no other way to stop it. I would love to still be alive, then things would be easier for you." Acornheart's amber eyes rested gently on her upset friend. She wished she could do something for her.

Vulturestorm sighed. "I'm sorry." she meowed suddenly. "I feel like I took your position away... I was so selfish!" she meowed, beginning to have a sad feeling washed over her. "I don't understand some of my decisions. I was probably the age of an older apprentice when I finally became a medicine cat apprentice, and now I'm having kits. I feel as if I wasted my time trying to be a medicine cat, you know what I mean?" Vulturestorm asked her, looking over to wards her starry shape. "If only Quietstep didn't have to go on the journey.. as I said before, if only you didn't have to die.." Vulturestorm looked down too her paws. After a moment, Vulturestorm spoke up again.
"Acornheart... I want you to help me pick out an apprentice."

Acornheart smiled and licked her friend's ears again. She wished she could say something to comfort her, but there was really nothing she could do. Acornheart listened silently to Vulturestorm, feeling helpless when suddenly she got a feeling of hope. An Apprentice? Thoughts were rushing through Acornheart's mind. Acornheart got a mischevious smile before meowing, "I'd love to help you!" No one would ever know what was going through Acornheart's mind, because she herself didn't know if it was possible, but it might.

Vulturestorm was slightly frightened by Acornheart's smile. However, Vulturestorm ignored her slight fear. "So, who do you think would be a good option?" she asked.

Acornheart got an excited look on her face before meowing, her voice dripping with excitment, "You'll know who it will be when you see them. Now if you don't mind, I've got take care of some things, your apprentice will stand out in the crowd and you will know then who it will be." Acornherat licked her friends head before getting to ehr paws. Her amber eyes showing great excitment, she had to know if it was possible. Acornheart then meowed, "I'll see you soon"
