~Tears Are Shed~ « Thread Started on Mar 13, 2009, 8:50pm »
Leafstar layed underneath the tree. A tear slid down her face as she cried silently about everything she lost. This was the time of day she never wanted anyone to see her. This was the time of day where she wouldn't let anyone see her. it was while everyone was sleeping, but very early in the morning. Her green eyes stared blankly as she cried about it all. She had outlived all of her family and all of her friends. More tears slid down her face as she thought about them all. Her mother, Moss, her sisters, Stormear and Barkkit, her brother, and leader before her, Darkstar, her niece Mossfire, her only love and friend Warstar, had been the Leader before Darkstar, his sister Peacesoul, and then there was Warmheart. The only ones alive would be Nexthope, Angelwhisper, Brokenstep, and her half-siblings, Snake, Tree, and Boulder. Nexthope, Angelwhisper, and Brokenstep where her nephews and niece. She didn't know where any of them were and she didn't know anything about Snake, Boulder, and Tree because they lived as rouges.
Her memories of running away with her brother, Darkstone then, and her Leafthorn. Then meeting the love of her life, Wartorn and his sister Peacesoul. They had lived as Loners until Wartorn had fallen in love with a RiverCla she-cat Sorrowfrost and had kits with her. He had been caught while he was a Leader and was chased out. Then Darkstar became Leader. Then he had died on a battlefield alongside his niece Mossfire. Then came the worst day of her life. Warstar had realized he loved her and only her. He then killed himself. He had been battling Warmheart, whom she had fallen in love with before she became Leader. But then after Warstar died right then and there, Peacesoul had killed Warmheart. Leaving Leafstar alone in her Clan.
Leafstar's tears had streamed down her cheeks as she layed there. She lifted her head and said quietly to herself, "What are you doing? You're the Leader for crying out loud! The past is behind you." Leafstar had always been strong and never cried. Showing strength had been one of her main priorities. But she had then resorted to crying only while the others were asleep. No one would understand what she was going through. They weren't the Leader of WindClan who had lost everything they loved. But Leafstar had WindClan. She had promised to prtoect the Clan with all of her nine lives. Leafstar had kept telling herself not to cry, but the tears still streamed down her face. She was alone in this world.

"You know, it's perfectly fine." A voice came from behind the calico. But, the she-cat was unaware what her leader even looked like. She even needed a description about her kits and mate. Having to do that make Blindsky feel.. hurt. "The past always effects our present - so what's wrong with worrying about it?" Blindsky, using her accurate sense of smell, she was able to walk around Leafstar and lay beside her. She allowed the breeze to brush her fur back, letting her smell all the smells of the forest. The she-cat wasn't sure, but she was probably older than Leafstar herself. She looked over in Leafstar's general direction. Of course, she was actually looking infront of her leader's face, but who could blame her? The senior warrior had no eyes.

Leafstar sniffed a bit, noticing Blindsky's presence. Leafstar could not look at the she-cat, even though Blindsky could not actually see her cry, it wouldn't be hard to not notice it. Leafstar had a stubborn pride, and it could easily be crumpled in a second. Leafstar finally turned her head towards the senior warrior and meowed, "You'd not think less of your Leader for crying, would you? Leafstar had bottled everything up and it was close to overflowing. Leafstar finally got over her pride and listened to her words. Leafstar shook her tabby head. Leafstar stopped her tearing enough to mew, "Thinking about the past and then lingering, is not what a Leader should do. I have tried hard to get over everything, but it's hard. WindClan is filled with cats who are quick to spot out weaknesses. Don't take it the wrong way about what I say of clanmates, but it's what I see. If they saw me at my most vulnerable, I could easily be taken as weak. Also the fact that I was never Deputy might turn up along the line." It suddenly hit her. Brokenstep, her Deputy, where had he gone? This was just another ten ton dumbell to add to her shoulders.
OOC: Don't feel bad! And I know I spelled dumbell wrong. I think....I'm not good with words related to being theletic.

Blindsky shook her head. "Of course not." she meowed. As she listened to Leafstar's explaination of how she felt, thoughts flew through Blindsky's mind. She soon took a breath, and started. "You know, leader's arn't cats who have no emotions and arn't cats who are invinsible to anything." Blindsky meowed. "Besides, you're the cat who stepped up to the plate. You dared to take on the challenges. No cat can see you as being weak - I wouldn't think that weak cats have courage, now do they?"

Leafstar sniffed and smiled. How was it that a few words could make someone feel better? Words are meaningless and actions are important. Wouldn't saying the words be an action? Leafstar knew Blindsky probably couldn't see her smile, but it didn't matter. Leafstar turned her head and mewed, "Thank you, Blindsky. I guess it's just what things used to be like. My mind's just set in the past. Leafstar still felt horrible, but it wasn't the whole crying in front of a warrior that bothered her, it was her being lonely.
