 Badger's Sun
« Thread Started on Apr 7, 2009, 8:53pm »

This is a poem I wrote about Badgerheart and Littlesun... one of the best pairings of Greenleaf, if you ask me... D: T_T

It was that day,
when she tore my heart into pieces.

It was that day,
my life was never the same.

It was that day,
I wished myself death.

We agreed to meet in the Pipes.
She said she had to tell me something important.
However, I was unaware,
of what it was.

My paws were on the cold metal,
as I waited for her to come.
It started when we were young.
The worries in the world not a bother.

She was small, with tabby stripes.
I was large, with black fur and a white chest.
I soon saw her enter.
I knew she looked different, somehow.

However, I was unaware,
she had different plans.

She told me simply,
"This isn't going to work.."
My eyes were wide.
I felt like I could have died.

"I'm going to have to kill you."
She told me.
I didn't have much time to think.
I felt her claws scratch against my fur.

At this point, I didn't care.
Littlesun was my life.
Without Littlesun, I had no life.

She continued.
We both had blood on our fur.
I knew this would probably be the way we'd end.
With death.

I felt her weight lift off me.
Another cat was now in the Pipes.
He told Littlesun to go back to WindClan.
And she did.

That was the last time I saw her.

The camp seemed so quiet.
They noticed I had changed.
I was no longer happy.
They noticed I always had fresh cuts.
And I never left my nest.

My ribs showed.
My fur was dirty.
My white fur was dyed red.
My life was at an end.

Now, I can't remember how I died.
Unsure if it was my self-harm,
or if it was at the paws of Littlesun.
Ethier way would have been fine.

Then, there was that day.
The day she tore my heart to pieces.
